The Casino Photos Were A Mistake From The Start

“Just going to try my luck for a bit” has ended more vacations than bad weather ever could. The casino on a cruise ship is basically a black hole — you walk in at 10pm and emerge at 3am with no money and a complicated explanation.
The photo that went viral was a selfie taken at a blackjack table. Perfectly innocent — except the person sitting next to her was absolutely not her husband and her husband’s sister was standing six feet away watching the whole thing unfold in real time. The Venmo requests after the trip were something else.
The Spa Day That Lasted Until Midnight

The spa closes at 8pm. That’s just a fact you can look up on the cruise app. So when someone checked into the “spa” on their location share at 10:30pm, their partner started doing some detective work.
Turns out there’s a cocktail bar one deck above the spa with almost the exact same GPS coordinates if you’re standing in the right corner. Three margaritas later the cover story fully collapsed. The kids were fine — they’d found the arcade. The adults were decidedly less fine.
