Okay there's a whole genre of post that goes: "my husband has a work wife, I've met her twice, she seemed fine" — and this one has a plot twist that the comment section called "the most satisfying redirect in the thread's history."

The work wife had apparently been very comfortable in her role. Then the holiday party happened. She is now suddenly very interested in whether her own gym's parking is available in the mornings. Three DMs to the husband since the party have gone on read. The husband has not noticed any of this because he spent most of the party standing very close to his actual wife for reasons that were obvious to everyone except him. The comment section awarded her the thread.
